I'm fitting a remote central locking kit and was wondering where i attach the "trigger wires" to it's a real PITA, probably going to take a whole day to fit it.
Anyway thanks to anyone who can help
    Cheers

Without wishing to sound rude, is it an 'ebay special' kit?

What I mean is, is it a black box with a loom that has orange, yellow and white wires (plus orange/black, yellow/black and white black) for the central locking?

Can you post a pic of the wiring diagram you have with it (if you have one)

And what year polo is it? If it is the 95-99 model (What I call a MK4 but many seem to call a MK3) with a central locking pump in the rear quarter then it should be a piece of cake.

If you can give me the details I can try to track down which wires you need. I've fitted a kit on my TDi a while ago and did one on MattS2's TDi at the weekend. You can do it in around 10 minutes once you know which wires you need.

Has the pump got two or three plugs on it? If it's three plug you can connect it to the alarm circuit on the pump. If it's two plug you need to sort out the wiring for vacuum locking.

The +12v and earth are easy as they will be on the plug with bigger wires. 12v will be red/black and the earth will be black (or brown) IIRC.
