Narrowly avoided running over a kid (14 ish ?) who rode off the kerb in front of me ( IPOD and earplugs evident ) just now. I gave him some suitable hints from inside the car and get a torrent of foul language back as I drive off. ABS kicks in and I reverse back to see what he has to say. I pointed out to him that being able to hear and looking what is happening around him might help and get told to go forth etc etc. He could be in hospital now and as the driver, I could be in the local nick. Is it me or is the lack of respect/responsibility getting worse ? Rant over. Front tyres now have flat spots....
When will kids learn....

its not just you mate...the lack of respect and responsibility in "much" of the youth of today is non existent sadly...
Society is too SOFT on them is my personal opinion...+ -
Absolutly.....i agree with that. Had a simular run in the other day, silly little cap wearing **** had the cheek to stick fingers up at me cos i had to slam on cause he thought '' he'll stop for me crossing'' right in the middle of the road. How i wanted to get out and bang him out!!
Major lack of respect in this youth!!
Cheers,
Chris

In the end they all got nicked when they tried to beat a copper up!!!!
this is the isle of wight and we never see this. Needles to say they came form a rough part of the mainland

Too true James!
Well done on spotting him and not running him down, although in retrospect perhaps it would have been for th ebest if you did?
I have seen one person step out infront of a car, the driver swerved to avoid him (I was amazed he avoided the kid!) only for him to hit 3 people at a bus stop!
This happened on a 40mph dual carriage way and I have absolutely no idea what possessed the kid to walk out infront of the car. You will also be pleased to know that he done a runner after this all happened...
