Uber cool!, I seriously want a squareback. My grandad bought a new one in '71 that unfortunately eventually succumbed to the dreaded rustbug in about '88.

Seen one recently for £500 that needs a bit of a restore.....tempted!

Anyway, sorry ctolladay, back to garages. A pit would be a godsend for me too!

It is indeed and it's getting mated to the Renault 25 gearbox you can't see and into the Imp - (mid engine).

I'm finallly getting into the garage I built a year ago and although it's been hard work, it's been fun getting the lathe and millling machine in to complement the kit I already had it's just getting the time to get it all together now! Definitely worth all the hassle though!

it'll be DIY 42mm Honda Fireblade 1000RR throttle bodies n megasquirt/catcams cos I'm skint I'll change the link on my signature to the project thread on the Impclub..... I don't want to pollute the thread.

but the 1.9 alloy 16v is indeed a brilliant powerplant

              cheers

I'm currently looking at two post lifts rather than a pit... one day I will have one.

I don't know what sort of height restrictions you'll have in the new garage/man cave but I looked at some scissor lifts that raise the car up about 4 feet. My garage is only about 9ft high so these are perfect.
They were also much cheaper than post lifts.
There were a couple on eBay, 2nd hand for a couple of hundred quid a few months back.
