    Aren't Parcel Force wonderful!?!

    Can't believe this one!

Just had a letter in the post (delivered by the postman) at work:

    Dear Sir/Madam
We are holding a parcel for you in our depot, unfortunately the driver has been unable to locate your address for us to deliver. Please contact our office on the number above so we can make arrangements to deliver the parcel to you.
Do you see the irony? The postman had the same address and he managed to find us, as he does everyday!!!

I think the woman at Parcel Force Atcham now thinks I'm a real sarcastic ****!

    Which I am!!

Our depot is the Atcham one (between Tefraud and Shrewsbury).
I rung her up and she said she needed the company name.
I asked her why that was needed as the parcel is coming to me at Unit 23 not to a company, and then pointed out that the units are numbered and mine funnily enough has No.23 on the door, and if the postman could find it, then I'm sure a "good" delivery driver would be able to do so as well!.
I had to bite my tongue after explaining Units 21 and 22 were opposite and Unit 24 was next to us!

I've got a feeling it's something I bought from one of the many links that appeared on the detailing section the other night! If they lose my PC I'll be getting a touch more thn sarcastic on the phone!

Unfortunately Parcelfarce are employing numerous casual drivers over the Christmas period.
Im a Rural Postman and the amount of Parcelforce parcels ive seen dumped on the floor outside people's addresses is ridiculous.
I even had one of my customers who lives at 'The Oast House' in Willingford lane, Burwash Weald ask me where 'The Oast house' Shrub lane Burwash was as she had a parcel delivered whilst she was out for the Shrub Lane address

                That seems very steep??

I'd ask them how they derived that figure.
Surely VAT should be no more than 17.5%
$70 is only about £36, so that would be over 50% VAT

Thats the standard charge mate - the clearance fees is an administration charge that is applied to all taxable items as RM/Parcelfarce have to employ people to process these items - thank the government for that......

Well, the Parcel Force man has just arrived, and luckily he did find me as he was delivering my Porter Cable!
His words to me were "You should have a bigger sign mate..."

As much as I wanted to, I just kept my gob shut and signed his little pc thingy!

No mate - dont think they could afford the Vanty's fuel bill .
Still i manage to get the mpg down on my 55 reg VX Combo CDTI to about 27mpg - pretty good for a 1.3 td - work out why that is!.
Soon to be on my 4th set of front tyres in 10000 miles

I use ParcelFarce everyday and I don't have any problems at all

except the ludicrus charges for import, the sincere lack of communication, the way they treat my parcels, the way that they show a total lack of inginuityif the parcel is a strange size or weight.

And I hold an account with them but they are better than the rest!!!
