Plumed in straight to the lambda probe conection. (you can feed a wire via the fuse box)
Im using a Auto Gauge one. Far from Essential imo, make sure you plum it in via a switch so that you can turn it off when its doing your head in
You'll be able to see if one or more cylinder is running hotter/leaner than the others, if you have a poor flowing aftermarket inlet manifold for instance.
Yeah....
Like Jamo says....
it has to be wideband to be worth anything at all...
irrc Narrowbadn can only accurately detect stoich.....wideband can detect all AFR's
John441....You only really need one EGT sensor IMHO.....maybe for racing you need ones on each runner but your talking big money to get all the sensors and a gauge that can switch between them for little gain IMHO for a street car....
I´ll use VEMS WB02 and EGT also - itś the only way to get true information about A/F mixture and exhaust g temp.
This Narrowband Lambda must stay there - it gives the information for ECU.
WB Labda must be installed between 40 - 60 cm from turbo.
Cool must have a butchers then whilst I have the car in bits!!!!
Cheers Chaps (god the credit card is gonna take a battering over the next few months unless I get a chance to mugg santa!!)
