Finally....! Warning light, what is this?

I am nearly done now, after much help from many of you here...
    situation...

1, Ignition on without engine running, shows the oil warning in the autocheck display (obviously arrowed, but we all know where that is...!), BUT also the little light arrowed on the ACC display also flashes just under a second on, then just under a second off, which repeats for ever...!

2, Igniton on with the engine running, oil pressure warning goes out on autocheck, but little light continues to flash on ACC control. I can stop it from flashing by pressing 'outside temperature' which means the display on the ACC unit shows obviously outside temp, and the lamp is on permanently, if you then repress 'outside temperature' it reverts to flashing...
I know UK cars did not come with this system, but I am sure someone must know what it means, there is I think a diagnosis system on the ACC is it anything to do with this?
BTW there is no gas in the system, so it is not working at the moment (although has worked since I owned the car)

3, Ignition off to stop engine running, immediately on again but without starting the engine, autocheck oil warning flashes and beeps again.

Now I know there is the correct amount of oil in it, it has an OE filter recently fitted, the interior gauge shows what it should all the time, whether it is accurate or not is another matter, but it is behaving correctly...

Might it be a faulty sensor? or bad connection to the smaller sensor near the thermostat? (I have recently replaced rad, so I guess I could have upset the wiring there...)

Any ideas? especially regarding flashing ACC

    Thanks
    Chris

Yes, this is what I kind of thought... I wonder if I can get my dainty little hands anywhere near it without taking huge amounts out again...

After 2 hours of searching, I have found an answer, found a thread which says to run diagnostics with VAG-COM, and reset things with that, it will work on its own for a bit, then it will all magically work...
Soooooo.... Just need to get a laptop and plug it in.....
This will have to wait till I am in the UK, and can do such things...!
Now, off to get some lard to fiddle with the oil sender units.....:mischeif:
