Chipped S3 v Chipped S2

What would win For example my s2 is running 281hp with chip and the s3 according to mrc web site will get about 260hp. Now looking at the size differences would the s3 keep up with the s2 or will the torque of the s2 be to much for the s3?

I've been in a Revo'd S3 with a claimed 260 bhp, and I wasn't that impressed. There was definitely a lack of torque there.
But then, I haven't been in an MRC'd S3, as much as I'd like to. That could be a different story.
I do know stock S3s are rubbish torque/power-wise.

i took a brand new one out from the stealers about a week ago and i didnt rate it one bit the brakes are very nice and thats what i said to the guy who let me out in it needless to say he saw the s2 and did not have a clue what it was

The new one does not interest me really im looking at 2000?
I may well go for an S4 instead, a lot of power and torque in them

Quite true the mrc boys are very impressive.
I went in mehineas and i must say i almost lost faith in the s2

As we map both S2 and S3's, I would go for the S2 anyday to be honest, the I5 just has more soul.
Although an S3 with a bigger FMIC and a better downpipe and exhaust and a stage 2 REVO is a lot of fun but then so is an S2 with the same.

seems to me that there a lot of realtively cheap S4 bi turbos out there these days, my worry with them is the longevity of the turbo's especially when they have been tweaked, turbo replacement is an engine out job. Mind you i still remember the first time i drove one, one of the best engines audi have made for smoothness, torque and power delivery

My friend has recently sold a stock 225TT (S3 engine I understand) and that was gutless against my stock S2, particularly in acceleration tests. However, when it came to the twisty stuff, his turn in and grip was sooo much better. I assume that the S3 would be similar.

Also, I raced a heavily chipped S3 on the GTi drag strip last year in my stock S2 and left him for dead off the line (although as Greg and others will agree, I was launching like a demon ) but he caught me just before the line.

In discussion with him after, he was amazed at the torque and therefore acceleration and assumed I was chipped. He was upset when I said I was stock and went off to check his S3 out

In a straight line an S2 in my opinion. On a track or bendy roads s3 in my opinion taking into account weight differences, brakes etc..

However ive never had a ride in a s3, or a a3 for that matter so who am i to judge.

Currently looking at a s4 that has rs4 ko4 turbos on. Mrc remapp running about 370hp, now we are getting there!

I had a drag race against a AmD tuned s3 a while back before i got my ECU Homefried and the s2 creamed the s3 the driver claimed the s3 was running about 280hp. But this could be that the driver could not drive but i would like to think that it was that the s2 is the better car.
