Quick question guys.... would approx 200 GBP be a good price for some secondhand Koni yellow shocks for the coupe? used , but apparently not for very long.....

) they are not TUV approved for Germany, so each year they have to be removed from the car. They have done 5000 Km, in the summer.... come without springs. He removed them for test, sold car, selling these seperately...

How would any annual test of a car, be able to tell what shocks it has fitted "without" actually having to remove them to see? There's no way to tell from just a visual test
But £200 is good price for four shocks with just 3100 miles on them.
Cheapest I've seen them in the UK for new ones are about £87 each inc vat for the fronts and rears. IIRC Aelred can get them at a good price (sure I've read that on here somewhere)2001 Avus Silver B5 RS4.

I understand, because they are yellow, they show as obviously not OEM, and therefore you have to show different paperwork for them, the same as if you put different wheels on them ...
I am sure there is more to this, but who knows, it is in Germany, and a bigger risk than a similar purchase i the UK....! Not sure I am going to risk it...
Think I will give Aelred a shout anyway...
