    Tyres

Does anyone know where I can get some new tyres for my RS2?

It has a set of MTM wheels on it which are running 245/35/18's. Currently it has Goodyear Eagle F1's and they seem fine enough.

Would any of you recommend another type of tyre and where would be the best deal to get a set?

      Hello Alistair

The only Pirelli ones on that website are P Zero Rosso. Is that the same type as you recommend?

Also have you had experience of Pirellis?

Used Rosso on S2 coupe. Fine IMHO but nero newer design and extra load useful for sidewall strength

I took it that it was the actual size that dictated wether the tyre was a Rosso's or a Nero.

If I wanted Pzero's in my original tyre size (225/50/16) Pirelli only did the Nero. But changing to a set of 17" wheels, Rosso's became available.

          Either way, the're top banana!

              RS2 Tyres..

After much deliberation and research I eventually swapped my knackered Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's for a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 94Y Extra Load. A set of these came in at £385.40 compared to best price £406.28 for the Michelins. (Unfitted)

I definitely agree that the extra stiff side wall has made a positive noticable difference to the handling of the car. The Bridgestone's are grippy as hell (much better than the Michelins - especially on power understeer) and somehow less noisy compared to the Michelins. However, I do not expect them to last as long....

Time will tell and will update again in a few thousand miles.

I havn't tried the Pirellis (as listed above) but many others have and have had a positive experience. Good luck!

Hmmm, Rosso's only listed for my new 245/40/17 size. Maybe its the width/profile combo then.
