Getting ECU out of my ABY coupe

Glovebox and carpet trim out, and have managed to disconnect the ECU wire from the bottom of it, however I cant seem to get it out... what else needs to come off?

    Cheers,

    Phil

No need to remove the glovebox - just that lower trim panel. Remove the boost tube and any tywrap that might be on the connector at the ECU. If you still have the big white trim clip on the bulkhead below the ECU then remove/twist it away for clearance.

Then simply prise open the big spring clip and tease the ECU down from its location.

If you have aircon then you need to temporarily remove the drain tube from the evaporator for clearance. It can be tight past the carpet but it does come out with patience. The 1st time is the worst !

This is a right pain.... that white plastic clip is really stubborn and the AC hose which you speak of has a sort of crimped clip, holding it onto the airbox. Ive got it hanging half off, and have already cut the boost hose off (will have to get a new one of them!)
        What else do u suggest?

Go with the flow... Believe me - the white clip comes off (sometimes with a fight) - rotate it and wiggle the ******.

With that white clip and the aircon drain hose off the only thing stopping the ECU come out is that big spring clip holding it into the 'airbox' you describe. Simply prise it open and slide the whole thing down.
