I have been banging on about this for a while. Yes you are "entitled" to a refund, but I somehow can't see it happening. If there are no magazines in production, do you think they have any of our money left.

I have chaulked it up to experience and am just having a laugh about it now!

I know David Corfield (Publisher) reads this board occasionally, but TBH I don't care what he thinks anymore. I have even submitted an article for him to publish and offered him another one, so I can't do much more can I?

Total Audi is a Total Joke...

    Cheers.

    Steve.

last activity on here from David (at least as a logged in member) was 16/12/06

Nothing in the totalaudi forum on his site about the state of the *cough* next publication.....hate to say it but it looks like you've all been had doesn't it?

Feel for you, just glad I didn't chuck £30+ at it as afterall I never had much confidence in it after the first few problems and delays.

I do know that this publication has now totally flopped (shame, it had a lot of potential).

Try getting your refund by emailing David Corfield...but don't hold your breath...or include it in your current month's mods budget...

My final rant on this subject...and it's a biggie

Well, I have just read through 10 pages of posts on the Quattro Forum. I have to say, they were far more optimistic than we were, but then again, the kingpin in this scam does drive an Ur ...oh well, at least he has something to sell when we all start demanding our refunds Even though it took the Ur guys a while longer, they would now seem to be flaming this David character as much as we are....he is one popular chappie

This has been a rather sad up and down story....I for one wrote to David and advised him not to misrepresent what the magazine would be, as it seems that he was promising subtly different things to different forums...basically implying that he would be specialising in the rarer Audis which are catered for by these forums. I told him in both a PM and in public emails on this forum that he WOULD fail if he stuck with this as it was simple maths: There just aren't enough drivers of Audis unless you cater for the mainstream models - TT, A3 & A4, which let’s face it, would bore us all to death, Audis or not!

As a business man controlling the strategic direction of an international company (this includes being in charge of the marketing department) I think I knew what I was talking about.

So, I got a little flamed on here for being negative about a well known Audi owner, who had a good reputation and had been planning this for a long time. Therefore, eventually I chose to put my money where my mouth was and gamble on an idiot....so, am I happy for being right....GOD NO, not even it had not cost me £39. Can I call David an idiot without facing liable charges...well hell yes, as any room full of business men would rip this joker apart for the way he has handled this debacle. In fact I would go as far to call David an incompetent and inept businessman whose actions have been irresponsible at best. Fraudulent and criminal...no, I believe he actually meant to be successful; he just doesn't have a clue how to be.

As this all started to go pear-shaped for david, we all demanded news over action. First rule of customer satisfaction is to keep the information flowing, even if it is flannel whilst your back room boys are working like stink to fix the issue. David has completely failed to do this. A great example is in the thread above. He promised an update within a week and begged for just a little more patience. A month later, no announcement and the villagers were grabbing their pitchforks I checked his user info and he has never even logon on since! (Worse than that, it is 2 months since he has been back here.) Hell, I have junior staff that can run global marketing projects, including email/website/printed literature, promotion items and events, product launches with full market surveys, market analysis reports and impact analysis reports....it really is not difficult, just a bit of juggling really. David seems to have even missed the first class in ‘how to run a business 101’.

So what have we all learned from this fiasco? Well, money is hard-earned and easily spent, so only pay in advance if the item is believed to actually exist. If you want to moonlight as a VC then make sure that you read their market analysis reports and business strategy, and then commission your own independent research. Only then should you hand over your £39

Finally, I have collected a list of David’s contact information, all of which he has posted on various forums, so I am only sharing information already in the public domain. Please feel free to email him and demand your subscription back under breach of contract, therefore making his refund policy null and void

              LMAO @ Simon (HPmuirt)

              Brilliant Post!

I may send an email asking for my £39 back just for the comedy value!

I will let you know how I get on.

Here, Here.. brilliant post and all true. Let's see what the response is. Shame really, as David obviously wanted it to be a success but for various reasons hasn't been. Lesson learned I think on Customer Service also!!!

                  Chris.

I am impressed with how understanding people have been with this fellow Corfield. He has been taking subscriptions since 2003 and been making the same promises since day one. I personally never subscribed because I could always tell it was a scam, I mean, what serious publication goes begging on internet forums for money without actually having anything to offer in return. Him and his scamming mates (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) have finally been revealed for what they are.

I didn't suscribe but I am just wondering if anyone has tried to contact/phone him for an explanation or refund?

It would be interesting to know what kind of a response if any was received.

Shame.....it would have been good to have a decent mag especially with the odd contribution or two from forum members.
