Note I said 'engineers' implying someone that properly knows what they are on about - not some dodgy plumber with a shady background and ill fitting trousers !
Got some questions about building control regulations on what central heating controls are mandatory on a recent house build in the UK. I have a book which uses language about various things such as thermostats, zone valves and the like in respect that they 'should be fitted'... but its impossible for me to know what items are mandatory... and therefore how much negotiation power I have about buying a house that was obviously fitted with central heating by a lazy **** of a plumber who knew that the customer had the intelligence of a gnat and that no questions would be asked.
Until 6 years later when I wanna buy the house ! It really gauls me having to pay silly money for other peoples *****.... But the gods of planning permission have long since told me to forget about building a house to my own spec. The stupidity of the garage is another thing entirely. Bahhhhh long sad story !
Cheers for any insight on this - there must be one or two clued-in heating engineers on the forum that can offer up a little free advice !
