I thought he was the first 'Stig' and not the current. AS their identity bvecomes public knowledge they get a new stig. Bit like Doctor Who but the scarves are shorter.

I think this was common knowledge probably over a year ago now. I seem to remember him having a book out and he used the fact that he was the Stig at the time to plug it! Recent stories have suggested that he may no longer be involved and have also suggested that there's more than one Stig! Surely they must use a racing driver for the track and a different guy for stunts. It's certainly a puzzler!!

I have an autographed copy of the book...not a bad read actually. Perry is DEFINATELY NOT the current Stig, for the reason above and unlike the orig Stig, the BBC has managed to keep new Stig's identity so secret that there are very few rumours or even good guesses these days.I think this was common knowledge probably over a year ago now. i knew that something was said about who it was in one of the serries and that "we have a new stig" iirc.
But this is pretty genuine and i guess there is no real way to prove who it is. Maybe one day they might do a stig special

This is him being interviewed on some Dutch TV show. God knows how they did it ... perhaps it was the fact the interviewer was female and hot?
