Asking you on an off chance ???

As i know some of you on this forum has/had golfs

The speedo cable has snapped (in 10 seconds flat, )


Hunting high & low for one, even ordered one in from local place,
got it home & wrong one.
Its for a 1.8 engine, born on 1/8/1986
Been informed it's gonner be something along the lines of part no. 171721...???

Also Vw may have stopped doing these

But its the weekend & everywhere is closed.

Any suggestions please.
(and dont say sod off to a vdub forum they dont know much either )

PS...Nabbed a pic of what it looks like, the one the shop got in aint white for the
end that goes in the clocks.

You probably aint heard the last for part numbers , as we are replacing
a few bits on the old dear.
