The Scoobie Club in the Cape do a lot of Breakfast runs through our beutiful mountiness country side and also take part in hill climb events. At first the youngster ask what kind of Audi is that S2 and by the end of the run it normall changes to ...wtf is that...

They have always invited me along knowing that we share the same passion of attacking the mountain as quickly as our 4WD Turbo charged cars can do.

BTW, my Red Baron is quicker on the Track or hillclimbs than their 06 STIs and after 10years and 100 000 km still alot more reliable.
Nice one! Keep showing them the "bible"

that was kind of my point... some of us prefer the rawness in out vehicles.

Scoobies are for the boy racers not the car nuts that most of us are.
now this comment I have to object to... just because us "true" enthusiasts are in the minority doesnt mean we don't exist! The scooby is very much a victim of it's own success - far too many out there are driven by boy racers/t**ts/rich boys but that doesnt detract from the fact that they are blinkin' good cars and its not just the case of "oh he couldnt afford/didnt know about an S2" as I for one most definately did.. and chose the scooby, they have ther differences and its personal taste.

Sure the scoob has a cr*p image - but what enthusiast gives a monkeys? I own both my cars to impress only one person - and thats me
Haynes Manual:As described in Chapter 7...

Translation:That'll teach you not to read through before you start, now you are looking at scarey photos of the inside of a gearbox.
