looks like us southeners are meeting up somewhere along the M40. The polish war memorial sounds ok, but is east (london side) of the M25.

probably suit more people to meet at a service point further up the M40 nearer to MRC.

any suggestions???

Oh I do want to - I'm trying to arrange to get up to see MRC to get a re-map on the V6 as it is, it's just finding the time and negotiating a day out from the family! Maybe this could be the way to do it....... Hmm, let the planning commence!

Mind you, I don't think I'd be able to keep up with a fleet of S2s on the way with my lowly 220bhp!

what about this service station on the M40. probably only 30 mins or so from MRC so could be a good place that suits most people coming up from the south on the M40 or A34.

What do you all think about a 9am meet up?

Not been to that particular one but I think that the services at junction 10 might be a bit easier for meeting purposes. I thought the meet starts about 11am? if so 9am might be a little early?

woops your right, 9 would be too early. if we're wanting to arrive for 11, then we could meet from 10 onwards for a few photos, then leave 10.30ish from the junction services and be there about the right time.

Having got my car back, it seems not only will I be there but as a bonus in the Audi
I am coming off night duty that morning (officially finish at 9am) so getting to the services for 10 should not be a problem. Anyone else want to meet a bit sooner.... Robatron, Dan_b, Robo..... any others?

will gladly try and make the meet at war memorial at 9.15. we could still stop off at the later servive point up the motorway for all the straglers and later arrivals.

that might include me now you have that lovely car running so well at the mo.lol

got any postcode or map directions for the memorial as i have only driven past the turn off going into london.

I never quite new where it was either, but apparently:

"The Polish War Memorial is situated adjacent to the roundabout on the A40 at its junction with the A4180, just on the London side of Northolt Aerodrome. The roundabout is known, unsurprisingly, as the "Polish War Memorial roundabout" and is signed as such on the A40."

I would be up for a 9.15 meet there.

Once you come off the A40 it is situated right on the roundabout (just before RAF Northolt if you are heading out of town)>
