Ideas for a short European break??

    Any suggestions?
Can't ever get time off to have a holiday so want to take a short break over Easter as I actually manage to get 4 days off work!
Want to fly out Saturday morning and come back Monday evening.

Budapest is on the short list but the flights ain't best good.
have also thought about Copenhagen and Barcelona.

Not into trendy night club type places. Just somewhere nice, to get away from it all with a bit of culture. I'm hoping that with many people on here, living in Europe, you may be able to come up with a few suggestions!
My main concern is that being Easter, wherever we go maybe shut down, unless it's just us that has a stoopid religious based law that naff all can open on Easter Sunday.

Obvious choice for me would be Paris, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Shame it's full of french people... It's only major drawback actually...

Or Bonifacio, Corsica, it's also very beautiful but much more remote and "raw" if you see what I mean, but hey if you're looking for heaven on earth where time goes by without ever looking at your watch, it's priceless...

      Geneva is also really nice

Also, just for info, the UK is in Europe, it's part of the European Union so if you're looking for a European trip, you could also go to Edinburgh... or London

        Done the UK to death!!

Paris is where I proposed to Alex, so would only really go back for some kind of Anniversary or soppy thing.

Corsica sounds ideal. It just seem places like that tend to be more holiday destinations and getting flights and short breaks isn't easy.
I'll go and have a butchers on the net at that now if I can find it!!

Search book and buy charter flights to Ajaccio. Learn more about Ajaccio as a destination and check to see what days & airports our Ajaccio flights operate

Rent a car from there or take a taxi and then drive on to Bonifacio. If you like curvy roads, you'll love the drive...

I highly recommend this hotel as they speak english and hardly anyone in Corsica does unfortunately...

Prague is just about perfect for a short break nice shops, good operas and things like that, plus plenty of culture. Or you cn just sit in cafes doing nothing. Would throughly recomend it.

Done Prague and loved it to bits. One of the very few places I'd ever go back to!

tried that one as well. no flights found for the dates I need

It maybe that there are only flights out on one or 2 days of the week to the UK.
