    Although if someone else really is paying then it'd have to be either The Fat Duck or Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons for me.

    Ck.
    Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...

      Much as I love Indian, Thai rocks...

      Plus it's very hard to get a good Indian south of the border, but much easier to get a good Thai!

        Indians and Chinese are ten a penny in Brum you can't move for them.

        Thai food is gorg, Thai edge or there's a cracking Thai place in Leeds thats the best I've had.

        Best Indian I've had is in Edinburgh / Haymarket.

              If you're ever in Glasgow, dig out the Mother India cafe. Indian tapas. Absolutely amazing food...

              Absolutely worst curry ever goes to some place on the curry mile in Manchester (can't remember the name, but it's red and yellow inside). I asked for a cheese nan, and what came back was a nan with sliced paneer pakora sprinkled over the top.... I didn't complain 'cos everybody's currys were well below average, so how could they improve the order?!

              Had a great Thai in Bristol once when I asked for sticky rice, only to be told they didn't do sticky rice, so I ordered normal rice. Of course when it arrived it was, um, sticky...

                  That'll take some beating Si...

                  Actually, I can thoroughly recommend an Indian in Banbury NOT to go to (one of my worst), so anyone intending saying over for the MRC Meet, be warned...

                    @Hp

                    My dad took a few business clients to a cantonese in wolverhampton (The Queens) a few years back (where it says business read family and friends),
                    For nine of us Food and drink came to a whopping £1279.

                    Has nothing to do with the 17 bottles of wine drank during and after the meal!!!!! We were in there for 6hrs.......
