him 'a what?'
me 'an AUDI A4'
him 'is that a Mazda or a Mitsubishi?'
me 'no its an AUDI A4'
him 'what the bloody hell's that?'

Fatty definately has a big one over you there Jamo
Steve, you been on the beers? What happened to the autofocus
Sad stories indeed about the stealerships.....for a company that pins its brand on the back of the original quattro as a signature innovation it's amazing how some can't recognise a UR let alone what was a range topper as little as 11years ago. Not only that but the UK was the most successful market for the coupe, so a simple statemnt like an S2 coupe should really not leave too much guesswork for a supposed parts guru, there again just talking to a 'master technican' will help establish just how masterful these guys are with a 5yr old Audi when the fault is not displayed explicitly in VAGcom. All I can say is thank god they are on company car lists with PHH/Leaseplan type service arragements where you just chuck a card at the dealer and let someone else pay, without them they'd be a very different (read smaller) brand and not be in the position they are in now with such appauling customer service with joe public who acutally OWN an audi. Complacency breeds contempt, thankfully there are the odd good eggs in the dealers and then there are guys like VAGParts who know Audi.....

Jamo seems to have gone all quiet
To be honest that is not the first rubbish close up I have done with that camera. I haven't RTFM's and expect the camera to be able to a close up focus on the auto setting. It should shouldn't it?
As for the OT, I don't even bother going to the main dealer unless I have a part number or want something that even the parts numpty can handle like G12 Fluid!
The other problem with my local Audi (Aston Green Audi in Reading) is that they make you sit and wait about ten minutes just for the parts guy to come and speak to you, and only seem interested if you have £20k to spend on a car. Unless I am desperate, I will go to Vagparts everytime.

So I'm not the only one that has this problem?? The only thing that kept me there last time was sat in view of a fit receptionist who bent over from time to time :mischeif:
Have only been there twice... last time it took ages to order the part too - after the guy had got there - as they wanted to check my engine code when I got frustrated and said I wanted parts for an ADU, despite the fact my engine code was a 3B... not worth going unless your armed with part numbers and willing to sit while it's explained when they're the wrong parts you can't get a refund
