Posting long items Internationally (Southern Ireland!)

Anyone got any advice as to who to use to send from Mainland UK to Dublin.
Ive tried the usual suspects and no one seems to be interested in anything that is over 1.5m in length.
ive got some sideskirts from an E30 touring to send which are 1.7m long - any ideas?

    Cheers Pete.

FedEx would be able to do it i should think, i had them ship my snowboard bag over from the states and that was about 190cm long in total, with board, boots etc inside so it had some weight to it as well.

    Not sure on cost tho.

Cheers Ant - the problem seems to be sending from this bleeding country - dont think US has size restrictions!

And Crawf - the thought has crossed my mind!
Would you beleive if i was sending it to Northern Ireland i wouldnt have this problem - Southern Ireland - completely different kettle of fish!!!!.

I've used the comically named https://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/ for big parcels in the past.

Um - didn't anyone consider Pythagoras?

A box 1.5m x 1.5m would have an across corners length of just over 2.1m!

More to the point, 1.7m would fit diagonally in a box 1.5m x 0.8m. Call it 1.5m x 1m for a bit of clearance and packaging.

Whereabouts are u located ? I'm 90% sure that i will be heading to Birmingham area this weekend to collect a motorbike ( if not this weekend then definetely the following weekend ). Will be going back thro' Dublin port and will bring your sideskirts with me, if that suits ?

                  Regards,
                  John.
