hi can anyone help me i recently purchased a s6 steering wheel for my s2 as the one currently in my L reg s2 is absoulutely shocking!! its like the old man steering wheel!! when i came to fit the new steering wheel it dosent seem to fit as the cowling around the steering wheel is different! does anyone know if this has to be changed to a newer style to accomadate the new steering wheel and if so what model and year is it from? Is the steering wheel on the L reg car different to the m and n reg cars?
Word of warning, if its a airbag wheel make sure the bags are the same spec e.g ohms, and impedances otherwise you may be looking at a big white bag with your ears ringing and loads of white power drifting down...
if your steering wheel has bigger hole for steering colum/a bolt rather a nut holding down steering wheel to shaft.... you will need steering colum/all plastic coulings upper and lower ones
possibly switches and air bag slip ring

was that the one on the bay fleas i ask the same question about this also
the steering wheel was from a m reg s6 so i have been told, the steering looks like it will physically fit, i will check the voltage and impedance or resistance as i dont want any accidents!!!!! If i require the cowling for the steering wheel what year will i have to get???? has anyone had this problem also!!!!!
the steering wheel shown is the same as my L reg 1993/1994 s2, when trying to fit the steering wheel there is a plate on the back of the s6 wheel and then there is a type of lug which i assume acts as a sitching plate for the indicators and light, my problem seems to be that the lug is catching on the existing inner piece of the light switch cluster!!!!!! is there anyway around this will i have to buy the whole complete switching panel to allow this wheel to fit?????? i thiink i might have to take a trip to audi tommorow to get to the bottom of this!!!!as its really frustrating! i was alos assured that the steering wheel was from a M registration s6.
