just built a driveway mate. best I can do since I live in a flat (4 in a block). when i move i'll def be getting a house with a decent garage. or at least a big space to build one.

Oh and Dan really hasnt got space for a garage as he is far too close to the main road so his car is completely open to all sorts of abuse.

Yeah unfortunately garage/ driveway/ ak47-guarded secure parking is not really an option for me, I have to rely on finding space on the "residents parking" bays outside, which are directly off the road. Inbetween said parking spaces and my front door is then a pedestrian footpath, which also gets used as a cycle path (albeit illegally as I found out last weekend when I got told in no uncertain terms by PC Plodette that if I didn't dismount from my bike I would be fined £30 and no argueing! So much for encouraging more cycling eh!).

I suppose I could tunnel down into my cellar?!

At the moment I just don't have the money for bodywork repairs, I am going to investigate my insurance policy, don't like driving around with a whacking dent in my car (oh and there those two scrapes down the side from the drive-by parking incident I suffered as well).

One day I'll move out of London to a nice detatched mansion with gated access and a 1/4 mile gravel-drive approach to the quadrupule garage, but until that day, I'll have to put up with this sort of random ASBO-related violence. Not what I'd expect from Richmond-upon-Thames that's for certain.

you want to make yourself an underground batcave style affair mate. dig down from the road, bit of clever levering and a rapid exit/entrance from the bushes. I did one with a clever fake rock face type thing but I can't seem to find the remote now. buggrit.
oh yes - when you get the big house can I be your groundsman/car polisher/AK47 operator? cos i'm slowly going a bit mental working for a bank.
