Just got back from a wonderful week and a bit up on the west coast of Scotland.
We travelled up to Fort William and from there we went to Glencoe and also to Mallaig.

The scenery is just breathtaking and the roads are amazing with hardly any traffic. Nightmare travelling over bank holiday but brilliant for stretching the legs on the RS2 and overtaking about 5 or 6 cars without any fuss.

That part of Scotland is highly recommended.

You should have ventured up to Skye on the A832 and A890. I came over to invergordon on saturday morning from portree in 1 hour 55 mins 120 miles 1.9 diesel turbo peugeot and i still respected the speed limits in all the towns on the way. I can do it in 1 hour 30 mins in the Audi (with the wind behind me)

Many good roads in Scotland and so little traffic. The road from Carbost to Portree on the Isle of Skye one of my favourites. Then there is the Isle of Mull, The Isle of Man and all those lanes around Duns and Lelso where the Jim Clark Rally is next month.
What are your favourite Roads?

I think the road going past Rannoch Moor and on to Glencoe is just fantastic not just for scenery but also the roads are so long and straight and even when you get to corners they are so long and sweeping that you can overtake safely as you can see for miles.
I also love the road from Alston to Penrith which has a lot of tight left and right corners which makes you really enjoy your car instead of going on the motorways all the time.
