    any sense if doing this?

I'm sick of trying to free up siezed parts on the car, is there any sense in going to stainless nuts and bolts which shouldn't corrode?

Any advice welcome and also any rules on tensile strength as a quick hunt on a couple of sites hasn't revealed anything

stainless tends to have good tensile properties.
A cheaper alternative is to coat exposed bolt threads with a heavy duty, waterproof grease, such as Mobil HP222.
    Always worked for me.
My new favourite is aluminium grease, 10x better than copper grease, but hard to get hold of, I had to buy a box of 12 cans!

Not high tensile though, i'd never use stainless on suspension/brake applications.

Try titanium if your pockets are big enough:mischeif:

You can use stainless but you have to use the right grade so either dont do it (prob the safest) or seek advice from a fastner producer/stockest.

There is a down side to using stanless bolts etc, as they will be of dissimilar metal to say your wish bones or sub frame they will incourage corroison in them due to electrolisis as they act as a aniode... there allways a done side to everything
