Got bored today so i modded one of these and came up with this:

I have redone all the wiring at the rear of the cluster as the boost gauge internals were to long.

Tomorrow i will convert my S2 cluster like this and will move 4 the now missing info/warning lights to the top left and right side of the cluster.

Should look sweet when its all done

Hey Bo, I have often though about doing that too, although I had planned to maintain the temperature display and move the gauge up a tad.

The question is, what is the minimum number of warning lamps in that area that we actually use/need? The reason is, that if you look from the back, you will see that on either side of the 2 main gauges (above the temp and fuel gauges) there are a pair of unused lamp cut-outs.

It should therefore be possible to move at least 4 of the central warning lamps over.

Good idea Si,

I was thinking of having the warning laps somewhere else outside of the cluster.

I was only using 4:


Hand Break
ABS (Off)
Oil
Main Beam


None of them are really that important though, so i have done away with them for now.

I figured that:
Hand break - Its quite obvious when this is engaged.
ABS - This is only off is i switch the ABS button on.
Oil - Can be monitored by the other two Aux Gauges and the Auto Check also blinks up if anything is wrong.
Main Beam - Again its quite obvious when these are on.


I will eventually move them somewhere.

I have wired this in so that the brightens is adjusted with the rest of the cluster.
