At the moment I have a honda civic in my drive awaiting new bumper, bonnet and headlight. I also have my very much cherished S2 avant.
About 9.30am this morning I get a knock on the door and upon opening it, I find a grubby little kid there......his dad is in a wagon parked in the road with 'Mercell scrap collection' painted on the side. The oppertunist scrap man (I guess father of the stig-of-the-dump like child) then asked me "did I want to scrap the honda", I replied "no thanks, its just cosmetic damage, its not scrap", to which the ***** replied "well, what about the old Audi then?"
Now my girlfriend is getting really fed up with me muttering "scrap indeed - does he not know how rare S2's are?" under my breath all afternoon.
How dare he!!!!

Yesterday morning i'm getting ready for work, just out of the bathroom and i'm taking my sweet time with getting some clothes on and I notice an orange flashing light outside. "odd" says I, "hardly gritting weather". So I look out the window and there are 2 lads fastening clamps about the S2's wheels to whisk it away. I threw a pair of jeans on and legged it sharpish down the drive. As i ran up to the guys I said "lads, lads, jesus no, don't lift it. you'll break it." The big one asked how and I said the distributor was out but I also had some of the suspension disconnected while it was jacked up and if they lifted it they'd likely rip the wheels clean off. So long story short one of them was alright and the other was a bit of a tit. the decent one said since it was friday and all they'd give me a chance to get it onto the drive. the wee one said 4 o'clock but the big one just gave him a look and said monday morning. Apparently some c*nt had reported it sitting there without tax and the fuzz had instructed them to lift it, which would have meant £200 to get it back, never mind the fact that half the engine isn't in it. See I have to get it running so I can take it to VOSA to certify it roadworthy. And I need to get that done to get the car registered in my name... which I need to tax the car or declare it SORN. And being a big heavy buggr I haven't been able to get the car up on my driveway.
anyway, just spent a day and half working on it and it still isn't working but that's all in another post.

PS - did the pikeys offer to tarmac your driveway since you wouldn't give them your cars?

Wish they did that round here (offer to do the drive that is) I would only do I COD and stand over teh ******s till they didi the job properly or bu***d off half way through, without payment. Hopefully after digging it all out so I can do the rest mesen

Also could do with one round here as I have a coupe E shell to get rid off, eh up, send em round lads
