I do love them... must see if I can blag a wee test drive sometime... I'll rent a suit, get a 'rolex' off eBay, rent something impressive for the day just for the pretence of 'loads of money' - reckon I can do it for the weekend - what think ye ?

@ S2central - That may work matey, I remember going into a Merc dealership with my dad when we were on the way back from work one sat afternoon. ( We had been having a clear ou and so were wearing what shall we say, the old clothes, baggy trackie's that had paint on, the works!!!!!!) We walked into the dealership and within 10 secs we had been pounced on and asked if we were in the right place
Well red rag to bull, Dad walked over to the to I think it was the E class then (going back 5 years) and proceeded to order 2 AMG versions for the company. When all the bits were ready and money organised (checked if it was there), just before he was about to sign, he called the bloke an f'ing prick and ripped all the paperwork up infront of him, leaving and went to bye a 7series bimmer instead

Now - THAT - is sheer brilliance....

Some Audi garages are famous for that kind of arrogance too. Wife of a mate of mine went to one a few months ago desperate to by a new or nearly new A3. She wasn't dressed to impress shall we say, though had cash burning a hole in her handbag such was her keenness to get the new car. All the sales guy ignored her, so she went down the round and spent more money on a newer Astra, drove back into Audi to explain what had happened and gave them a bollickin for their attitude. Sure that sale wouldn't affect the business but its that attitude I can't be dealing with...

Your story with the 2 x AMGs is a belter though !
