Had my first 3 runs on a drag strip in the S2. Alot of fun, and there were some serious things there... 11.5s Skylines, 6s dragsters and a Jet powered car that hit a terminal velocity of 254mph!!!
Anyway, my runs...
Run 1: 6k Launch, felt like i was floating! Then, couldnt get it into 2nd! Its an ABY 6speed and I'm not sure if its just me, but if you push from 1st to 2nd along the left, theres a notch in the middle! So anyway, managed to get it into 2nd a few seconds later and ended up with:
15.6739s @ 95.74mph
Run 2: 6k Launch, everything went well, was careful from 1st to 2nd but still pretty swift...
14.1761s @ 94.35mph
Run 3: 4.5k Launch, car made a kind of traction control style thudding noise as it was putting down the power, the rest of the run went smoothly..
13.9779s @ 98.22mph
Not sure if thats particularly good but I was chuffed to break into 13s after getting a low 14 on a good run!
I'm standard appart from Paul's homefries. Got 245/17/45's, and ran without a spare wheel and with my induction side headlight off!
RS 2 4 6 parts forum might have been there too coz there were about 10 S4s, some RS4s and S3s! They were all pleased to see my S2, but some people thought it was a 600bhp one that some guy had said would turn up! Needless to say those who thought I was would have been shocked when they saw me run!
