Hi guys.
First appologies for a thread about my guages not working and how they were doing my head in!!!!
I have got to the source of the problem!!!!!!
And the confession!!!!
The problem was me!!!!
Well not entirely me.
The CQ20 has seperate wiring for the two senders, just two wires - blue and white and also a black and green one!!!
Now looking at the senders they were plugged in!!!, Looking at the loom and guages they were plugged in!!!
Continuity test showed nothing, a break in the wire perhaps???
So we trace the wires to the guages back around the vents and hey presto they are cable tied up connected to nothing!!! Checked around the main engine loom and found the connector on the 3B loom - wire colours the same of course
Plugged that in and hey presto the temp guage worked!!!
Just ordered a new pressure sender as it is probably stuffed as the guage keeps going off the scale!!!!
Sorry again guys and thanks for putting up with this said dim wit!!!!
Also must confess to smacking my head on teh empty steering column causing a rather nasty cut, loss of hair (still atatched to the colum and a serious headache!!!
Ta for all the help though guys.
The good news is the interior can go back in and the car can get the pipes made and be mapped very shortly....
Hopefully intime for my date with a Murcialago and F550:mischeif:
