    Question d.26/6-2007

I have problem starting my Audi S2 B3 (original ecu) when it is hot.

Measure the engine speed G28 sensor = +- 15V wave looks nice
Measure Reference sensor G4 sensor = +- 75V wave looks nice but is it not too high voltage?

    Symptoms cranking:
The car will not start but bangs and the tachometer needle is jumping op and down (0-2000 rpm)
Sometimes it starts and all problems are gone.

      Do you have vag com?
If not I would suggest buying it and running it to pull the fault codes off your car.
Im not sure if faulty knock sensor can do this but it could be possible

Sorry I due not have vag com I will install the Vems controller in near future, I have read out the fail code by connecting a diode.

Is it possible to clear the fail cods other way?

I will try to disconnect the knock sensors
        Any other solutions?

Disconnect the battery or pull out the 'motor' fuses for ~30 seconds to clear the fault codes.

          Vag-Com is overkill for a 3B IMHO.

See one of my previous posts for checking the codes here.

Triad to swab the two-vr sensors

            Hi
Triad to swab the two-vr sensors then the car started fore 2 sec. 2 times and went total dead.
Maybe I frayed the ecu input because of the high voltage (+-75V) we measured yesterday.

Anyone have a b3 ecu fore sell ?

When I swab the vr sensor and turned the disruptor 2 mm the car started.

I think that one of the vr sensors I bad condition

              Thsnx for all the help
