battery light staying on!!!!!!!!!

can anyone help me with my problem, when switching off the ignition and removing the key, the battery light stays on and also the abs light which i cannot explain!! can anyone suggest any diagnostic procedures or known problems!!! please please

hi disconnect the alternator and see if the lights goes out make sure you do not touch the main live to earth pull the energizer wire to if the light goes out your alt is shorted out keep me posted there is other thing but thats first

alternator - diodes are gone. change it... the alternator,and look for really BAD wire(s) to the alternator( in the yellow cabeltubin)

i'd say the field side of the aultinator is away so new/recon aultinator is needed
