We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
im having problems yet again with my wonderful s2 i was driving the car and everything was working correctly on sunday, when i drove the car on monday i looked down at the dash and low and behold the b###dy speedo has stop working. how hard is it to fix this problem? is the speedo driven from the gearbox? can anyone help me please please??????
if it's just not working you'll need to check that the sender is connected and working. easiest to access from beneath the car. Its on the pass side. look for the inner end of the driveshaft, feel up round it and you should feel a plug with a wire coming from it. check the connector is snug. in case you need to, disconnect the plug and then you should be able to twist the sender free. If you need a spare then PM me as i have one which i changed a couple of years back before realising that the speedo face had lifted instead.
