Sprayjob....how much?

Been quoted £600 cash to have my laser red (none met)coupe fully resprayed.Is this about right?

Sounds a bit too cheap for a full respray unless it's mates rates?. It really depends how good you want it. Mine is going to cost 2.5g's but that includes some arch fabrication, glass out and all new rubber seals etc.
Have you seen examples of previous work he's done to judge?

Hmmmmmmm no comment if welding is needed it will be far more, look at mine and it has cost far more then both replies, ohh and yes mine's not a series 3 one

yeah he did my sisters motor.Ive got the usual pinkness of my fading laser red paint,getting bored t-cutting and waxing every other week

Andy mate, the best quote ive had for mine is £1000 from a very good paintshop. Again straight laser red with a couple of extra coats of laquer to`seal`the redness and add some extra bling pm if you want the details. CheeRS Al

Sounds quite cheap but doesn't always mean that it will be a bad job. If you know the painter and he is taking out glass and not just masking round everything it could look sensible but you do tend to get what you pay for in the paint trade cos everyone has to account for hours and its the prep time that makes a good job.

Before you go having it resprayed, talk to one of the Pro's on www.detailingworld.com they may well be able to machine polish and seal your paint for a lot less than £600 and you will have a fantastic finish too. I will always need regular maintenance but IMO may be better than a cheaper respray.

I've had a quote from audi for front wings, front bumper and bonnet at £800.00 I got this in as a bench mark to compare other prices.... not planning it at the moment was just curious as being black the stone chips will keep coming......
