A big thanks to Doug at MRC for the first prize in this year's Billing raffle. Thanks also to all those who organised the even (Ben, Carly etc.) and finally thanks to Brian 'the wine-fuelled detailing machine' Smith for being a gent and swapping prizes
Just got the car remapped yesterday at MRC (Generic, low boost). The ECU had already had the chip holders soldered in but was running standard maps, although there was a moment when I thought I'd be eating my words... anyway, Mihnea has confirmed that they were standard so
.
Tried both the high and low boosts maps but due to stock downpipe and cats the high boost map was not viable... on the first high load run the car hit 1.7bar, fluctuated and then decided to go into limp home mode!
The lower boost map at 1.3 overboost, 0.9 red line or so is really smooth and has added a lot of power above 4.5k but only slightly added to the 3k - 4.5k region. The car feels stronger doing 1/4 mile type runs bu very similar in-gear.
Thanks again
