Ahmad sorry I do not have the answer for your question, but would you mind sharing the cost of a new rack?

Is it an ADU or ABY rack? I'm after one for the sake of the 2.5 turning radius as apposed the 7A 3.5 turning radius.

    Thanks buddy
    Cheers mis amigos,
    _Anton

i got it for my a4 , i kissed ***** to get it for 500$ brand new and not reconditioned. , give me part number and ill check if they have one for your and we can get it much cheaper cos audi 80/90 and coupe get high discounts in parts. if it was available in stock u will be very lucky. something like 250$ will be good for u?

they offered me two racks for a4 for 890 usd but what will i do with the second one? so i get one for 500 with vat.

      cheers

        Edited

        Very cool of you.

Here is the info for the ABY that Henka gave to me a while ago. Thanks Henrik

ZF. The S2 ABY came with 2.65 turns lock to lock - stroke is 168mm. Same rack was also found in RS2.

        ZF p/n: 7 881 955 313

I'm still available to help you out if you need anything on this side

I allways centralise new racks just to be sure and then remove the track rod ends and count the number of turns each end is on by then add together and divide by two and refit then adjust each side equally when setting the track.Does that make sence?

I am not quite sure of the V6 but safer bet to stick with ABY/ADU.

                  Thanks Ahmad
