    Woo Yay!! Sold my S14!

The 200sx has gone to his new home, to a man with a mullet and a girlfriend with huge norks

that means i'll soon be back in the Audi fold!!

Looking at a 20v CQ and a 20v Coupe with Koni adjustables.... both seem good for the money, i guess we'll see upon inspection this weekend

the good news is that i'm part way toward my £6k S2 budget too

    Bring on the rings!!:mischeif:

    Nosy observer

Being nosy while reading your post, I'm wondering why you deviated from the "straight and narrow" to the s14 and then came back?

Not the return, but the departure, as I said just nosy / curious / interested.

    Thanks and kind regards.

    p.s. Welcome "back"?

hehe nissans are cool cars, I like 'em very much... with lots and lots and lots of an aftermarket upgrade supply.... but... I prefer my Audi! Just putting one of the 3B engine family... the 500euros conrods , a nice turbo and I'll have a ton of torque with a ton of power and I'll have a serious machine... ok it could be a little old car, but it stills looking awesome!!! There's nothing like the confort and quality of a german car and the power of a mamooth hehehe PEACE!

Well i've been deviating between Nissan and Audi for quite a few years now!!!
the reason - i hate FWD cars!!!
Its got to be either 4WD or RWD if i'm going to have a car for the long run.

        I had a 90 10v, then a 300ZX, then a 2.8 CQ, then the S14 and now back to a B3 (hopefully), with a view to saving for an S2 next year.

I suppose its my fickle nature
I loved the 90 i had for pure comfort and reliability, but it was fecking slow! I'd always wanted a ZX so I bought one, mildly modded it to about 340bhp. It cost too much to run so i sold that on for a profit and bought a 2.8 CQ. Loved it to bits, but it was cursed . It was keyed 3 times in year costing me £1400 in bodyshop fees, then slipped a tooth on the timing belt and caused a rather nasty piston / valve interface - i had to drop a new lump in.
I kind of lost confidence in it after that, so i sold it and bought an S14.
Modded the S14 using second hand parts to approx 290 bhp - which was rapid as the are only 1230kgs - did 4.96 to 60 on my G-Tech, and did handle well after some second hand coilies and bush refresh. But i needed the cash recently, so i put the S14 back to standard and sold the parts. Then remembered how crap the handling was as stock and started looking back at Coupes.
I can't afford an S2 at the moment, so i'm after a 20v B3, either FWD or a quatty while i save for the S.

So i guess thats my life story for the past few years of car ownership!!! My nissan angle comes fro the fact that they are practically the only mod-able RWD cars i can afford and they are reasonably reliable. Also as has been said the volume of tuning parts in huge, and also there is a lot of snobbery in the jap tuning scene, pleople don't like to buy used parts, so i can reep the benefits of a massive discount tuning parts market.. eg. fully adjustable coilovers for £300 anyone?

LOL... yeah I know what you mean, I had a S13 with a RB25DET in it... obout 320hp but there was always something that the power couldn't handle and then... I always broke something hehe... the last thing was the drive shaft... sh%&... I found a used one in 600 dollars...then I decided to sell the car... spare parts were too expensive to me. NOw I have my N\A Coupe and I feel very good with it, I hope next year to make the 3B engine swap. My car doesn't a lot of performance like a 300hp 6 cilinder, but I feel great.

I've wanted a Rex for some time, but would never buy one that wasn't concourse and it'd have to be a second car... the best handling car i've ever driven bar an Exige, and even then there isn't much in it... until i can affiord the 9-10k for a minter i can make do with the odd blat in the Mrs' RX8 instead
I like a car that fights back occasionally though, keeps you on your toes and reminds you you're not the Stig TC is for pussies! My right foot is my Traction Control

                  Insightful reply

                  Error404

Thanks for the interesting reply, it always fascinating to “see” what others are doing and take a small bit of comfort from the fact that I am not alone in my respective car woes and wastes of money on various bits and pieces / cars.

Thanks again and good luck with your quest for an S2, only one comment, which I hasten to add is not designed to start a row with others, i.e. Coupe drivers, but give consideration to an S2 Avant as you’ll rarely have to sell it in the future because it doesn’t have two rear doors or isn’t big enough.

Lastly, also if funds allow keep the B3 and then when upgrading bits on the S2 they can be hand-me-downs to the B3, and as will inevitable happen, the B3 won’t be the worst to drive as the spare car when the S2 is off the road for an upgrade or refresh? For a B3, maybe consider a 2.0L 16v B4 Avant? I know its FWD, but is a spare or temporary car, they did a quattro version as well though.

                  Best wishes.

Yeah i've considered keeping the B3 i will inevitably get, as second car when i get an S2, trouble as always when considering a small a car collection is space on the drive
i'm definaltely going for a 20v though, can't resist the noise

When S2 time comes, an avant is definatly in consideration. I always buy the best example i possibly can when purchasing, so i guess it will depend a bit on whats about

                    cheers

NM\7A 20V 5cil DOHC Coupe Quattro ruuullzzz!!!!!! hehehe My engine has 200.000+ km, no smoke on the exhaust, day driving at max 2200rpm, night driving from 4500rpm up to red line...EVERY DAY ... dude, I think the same thing, the sound of a 5cil is great! The VR6's too The only problem with my car is that the engine is a little weak for the weight it must to move... with 1\3 gas and me: ~1450kg(2900lb) over 160bhp of a 2.0 N\A.

How much does the S2 Coupe, Avant, Limousine and RS2 weight?????? Anybody knows?
