You can sleep in a car, but you can't drive a house...

I try not to look at the cost/bills/invoices etc also as it doesn't make good reading! Never mind, put's a smile on my face everytime I start her up I'll plod on for now and see how she goes until the end of the year! All good apart from some rust requiring treatment on passenger rear arch! That's next on my list.. Cheers

                  £300 new tyres....
I try not to add it all up either, but if I did, I'd exclude above three because they fall into my mental "fixed cost of car ownership" in that I'd be paying them for any car I owned, not just the S2...

                  Ck.
PS Yes, I know other (less fun) cars might be cheaper to service, need smaller and cheaper tyres, and fall into a cheaper car tax bracket, but try not to think about that bit too much.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...

Its the pleasure / pain thing.

If you want the pleausre of owning, driving, racing or just looking at an S2, then the pain is the bills.

I bought my S2 a year ago this month... and rounded in the cost of some immediate work as part of the purchase price (new brake discs all round, new clutch and a few others for £900)..

BUT so far this year (apart from things all cars need like tax, MoT, insurance)

£180 on two very expensive Pirelli tyres (could have bought something ordinary for £110) plus £100 to repair leaking fuel pipe.... bargain!

Ohh...on the insurance note... I cd hardly believe the S2 was soooo cheap... Direct Line only about £100 more a year than my old 1.1 Fiesta !! Mind you I'm a 40+ oldie with good NCB.
                        SOLD !

                          i was surprised as well.
i think they must come uder classic car insurance or something, either that or your guys are exceptionally safe drivers lol... my quote was £440 odd FC protected and i'm only 25.. have got 7 years NCB though

bear in mind the cheapest quote I got on an Evo 5 was well over £2k (both grp 20 AFAIK)
