    Protective car cover

I've just been 'granted' a company car - this means the S2 is going to get used a lot less. Unfortunately I have no garage space. The car is likely to go unused for a couple of weeks at a time - so I was thinking about getting a car cover to try to keep the elements at bay. Anyone got any recommendations?

i will have 2 find where it is now but had a really good one that i had on my mk2 what was sat in a barn for a while

It had a waterproof plastic on out side then on the inside was a rubber foam type stuff 2 protect the paint and absorb any moisture

Had a cheap 1 from halfords and it rubbed some paint off wing when it was always blowing in the wind and was so light get a heavy one

Covercraft Weathershield or Noah. Not cheap, but quality.

Deffo agree on this - do not go cheap - I bought a 'mid range' one from Halfrauds 2 yrs ago and it was fine until the wind speed got up. It was a light breathable thing so OK for rain, but it was a real PITT when the wind whipped up (regardless how tightly I strapped it down with its elastic straps) and lifted corners off. Deffo get a high spec one for outside storage thru winter. Get a battery conditioner as well... I have a wee cheapy solar powered thing from Maplins that works great. SOme folk prefer more exotic equipment but I can't fault that gizmo - was all of 15 quid I think.

              Thanks for the advice guys

Will look into the battery conditioner as well - hadn't thought of that. Just hope the missus doesn't think that the S2 is taking too much space up....
