hi guys. if u download realplayer it has an automatic function wherever there is a video played it has a little pop up asking u if you would like to download video. hope that helps

Alternatively, if you use Firefox and not Internet explorer, there are many many add-ons for ripping you tube videos and other embedded media.

The one I use is called UnPlug

I would like to download a non-Youtube version, or alternatively, learn how to capture video from Youtube. Any suggestions welcomed.

Copy and paste the you tube link you want to save the video for into here

and then use this

here to play the flv files just like media player would with mpegs.
If you want you can convert .flv to .mpeg or whatever you like if you search for the right software
