Got her back yesterday, really pleased with the work done by the bodyshop from the rear end accident and got the rust on my near side rear wheel arch sorted. Start with accident pic first....
Nice work, how much was it in the end? if you dont mind me asking
Spink,
The work on the rear arch to remove and treat the rust and paint etc. was £200. The rest was all insurance work for non fault accidents. Only other items I paid for were the front lenses.
only reason i asked was i saw a similar state coupe(2wd) a few weeks ago,and the bloke had paid £1500 of his own money to fix it.Must have really loved it as i dont think it was worth much more than that.
I only said that, as you often see older Coupes for sale with rot around the front arches. It's where the bumper meets the wing that it starts and then spreads around the arch. Not a fault of the glavanised steel, but where the bumper rubs through the small protective plastic strip, then the paint and then the glav.
Car looking well smart though Chris. Beauty colour too

Looks like a nice job- glad you got it sorted quickly
Always better to get any rust/damage sorted in one hit(usually works out cheaper)
but you probably wanted the damage sorted asap and it back on the road
Lovely colour- they look great in that silver with anthracite avus wheels!
