Fool I got from said it had done 53000 miles, no dummy, the speedo is in KMs! that 33000 miles! der!

Also have you any sites showing abit more about your eleanor project as i'm curious sounds a brilliant project.

So what's to bring it up to speed? Couple of body panels and front bumpers and headlights and such, any structural damage?

Oh yes lots of structural damage!
It hit a London taxi! somewhere behind Buckingham Palace!
Options are :
Strip it and sell the parts, boring!
Buy a 2.8 avant quattro A4 and rebuild her into that. Much more exiting! If this option the UR will be going and the RS4 will be my wifes!

WIll have to have a think about it!

I have the car and most parts, just need my new workshop to get going!
Oh and if i decide to turbo my 460 V8 it can do 1600bhp on standard unleaded! tempting!

Its good to see people experimenting with different cars/engines etc still can't believe PPC's charlies tank engined rover 1600+ of torque.

YEs fun project, wife does love the UR and hasn't jumped at having 380 horses to play with!

Tossa I bought the car from booted the right rear door in, in between me last seeing it and it arriving!
Guess who is going to be calling his council to ask if he is paying business rates on his farm buildings he stores all his sales cars in!

Me and my mate in work were looking at it and it looks totally bent out of shape from the pics. Although you will know better from seeing it in the flesh.

Please tell me you are going to rebuild it as an RS4? Those bubble arches make me go weak at the knee's..

If its going to be rebuilt it will be all RS4, i will change the rear arches on to the new shell. Not looking viable to repair the shell (A4 avants are so cheap)
Tried pricing a new shell from the stealers, they don't supply shells after production ends!
So if I reshell it what colour? thinking MIsano red, and shall I make it rhd?
Also its not on the register!

RHD would be cool, even tho it's not on the register, would reshelling it mean that it would not be a real RS4?

WHy not? the only difference in the RS4 shell to a normal A4 avant quattro is the rear arches.
If I could buy a new shell from Audi then would it still be an RS4? yes.

I have done many MGBs for customers, new heritage shell, swap all parts and ID and job done. RS4 might take a while longer!
