So much to do on my S2, I am a little overwhelmed.

A little bit overwhelmed on the work I need to do on my S2 Avant.

Looking at it just now outside work there is a puddle forming under the car just now, I now know I have a coolant leak

Heater is not working, neither is the Air Con and the fan only works on max, and when it's on max it makes a noise like a thousand cats fighting... All on the coldest day of the year so far. Heater matrix? Thermostat? All of the above?

Drivers side electric window stopped working, think it's the motor, but need to have a gander, I think that will be the easy one. I can hear the relay clicking, but nothing from the window.

Got my guages from S2_Bo to fit (cheers mate, excellent product), good instructions to fit, so should not be hard.

Got the snub mount to do as well (Sport Quattro mount on order with the local stealers) Looks like a doddle and I can remove the Aux rad at the same time, as it's been blocked off for a couple of weeks now anyway.

Front bumper to sort out (Cracked) and headlight to replace (one on the way from Spink, thanks mate) after a little argument with a fence post.

Got my disc's and Cayenne caliper carriers from Corey on order as well (nice to speak to you mate, Top Bloke) Managed to get full set of stainless hoses on order as well.

Thing is, I have no time whatsoever to work on the car at the moment, as we have had a wee boy recently and I just dont have the time to work on the car just now.

Any advice, or even just words of support. Might take a couple of days off work to get the work done, and get it tip top for the winter. Or sticking it into a garage and get the work done? Not all of it just the time consuming jobs.

Don't envy you mate. Thought I had a lot to do on my new one, I feel a little better now, although mine are the big bucks job, clutch, belts et all.
Luckily for you those arent gonna break the bank and are more like annoying niggles and stuff.

Whats the big panic? Youve got other transport... take your time, it WILL get done. Ive had mine off the road for about six months and mine WILL be sorted this year . Again ive got other vehicles so not so pressing (plus mines not outside my front door shouting "when am i gonna get finished"). Keep the faith you know these cars will always need something doing to keep them tip top

The only other running car we have is the wifes car and it's a world of pain trying to get access to that during the week. So much so, I was looking at getting a hire car for a week. I have my 67 split bus project, but that's faaaaaar from finished.

I know mate, I am looking at it as one big problem rather than splitting them down, just some are pretty pressing to get sorted out, such as the heating and the coolant on the system...

Coolent could possibly be the afterrun pump as not uncommon, best idea was putting a list on here of what needs doing then you can use it to help you plan what needs doing next.

I know how you feel mate... my list is about 3 pages long but its coming together slowly, one job at a time. I foud it useful to prioritise what is most important and do that first...

Coolant leak and no heater seem probably related IMO, you may have an air blockage stopping coolant reaching the matrix. Fan speed is just a resistor, and you may need a replacement blower motor also by the sound of all the "Meow-ing" your hearing - £20 on ebay and 15 minute job to sort them two out

Why not get a cheap runabout for a couple months and take you time sorting out the car properly, when you have the time? You could get a throwaway car for the price of a hire car for a week

Got home tonight and pulled off the front bumper, and guess what the coolant leak was???

                  Only the bloody headlamp washers

The smell of coolant I was getting was the high concentrate of screenwash, I had put in the night before...

Still tho, I still have a load of jobs to do to get the car tippety top.

I am sure with help off here, I will get going. Thanks for the support guys, much appriciated.

if the fan only works on max, willing to bet it's the heater resistor. Think it's behind the glovebox

sure after we get my engine in and the rest of the stuff into the engine bay on saturday we can do your car mate

By the way stevie didn't mention the camper isn't just been built standard. there's more porsche on there than his old 944. Poor buggr has been getting bits machined and all sorts.

sounds like the fan shouldn't be too bad to sort mate. and like I said if I get my dash back on ok I could be handy for helping you replace the heater matrix. Or if I can't get my dash back on you hcan have my heater matrix cos i'll be moving abroad and giving up.

but it won't come to that cos i'll get my car going and you'll get your odds and ends sorted out. we've got a scottish meet in oct mate so we both need to get tanked up on the positive mental attitude juice.

                          come oooooooooooooooooonnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent lads, thanks for the offer of help Steve, I might take you up on that.

I reckon tho that we will all have our hands full all day on Saturday with Noelski's coupe.

Shame we could not get the guys from the S2 production line over from ze' Fatherland, and set up the lockup's like a production line.
