Good insurance companies for a S4

I am looking to buy a S4 B5 2.7 ( don’t threat I am not going to the dark side )

My current insurance company would like to charge me £1400 this is almost as much as I paid for the S2 when I was 20

Are the prices high because of the car or is it my age?

Any suggestions on companies to try would be great

Confused.com. Will probably come back with Elepant as the cheapest. Elephant will than knock the price down more when they call you after getting your online quote.

I found that Elephant or there are these guys Link were the cheapest. Get a quote from Elephant first and then call Brentacre.
Both are very competitive.

Don't forget, if your car is a 1992 or older you can get classic insurance!

Adrian Flux were around the same price as Elephant, but I felt a bit safer with Flux. Paying £500 per year for my S4. That's with 9 years NCB, no claims, and no convictions. But I do live in a particularly 'bad' post code!

I'm with Sainsburys at the moment on my 20v .... 2/3 the price of Flux. give them a try

I also recommend Sky and HIC for modified cars.. very competitive, and underwriters who know what they are talking about when it comes to mods etc.

I have recently been looking at tis too, Cheapest I got through confused.com was KWIK FIT!!!!!!! @ the lovely cost of £700....

Admiral did me for £330 - but that was 11 months ago.....

if it's standard, try tesco insurance....
they did my S2 for loads less than most of the 'usual suspects'.....
