    VAG Parts- Martyn?

    Hi Martyn,
    a question for you.
I emailed about cost/availabilty of a h/lamp glass & was emailed back with a price breakdown (vat, post etc) of £51.18, went to online shop on your website & it came to £53.42. I have tried to ask why the difference but no reply!
I know its only a couple of pounds but whats going on?
Always had brill service from you guys before.

If you get a chance to look at this can you give me a price for the brake "bomb" too? (,93 ABY)

    Thanks,
    Simon

Martyn does not come on here much now. I would give him a buzz...

    Cheers,

    Steve.

If you emailed it might take a day or so for a reply too because they seem to be quite busy just now. Took me until lunch time to get through on the phone on Monday. And again they did sort me out, despite my "it's the doodah beside the thingmy.. spinny thing under the blue cone shape chap" descriptions.

If the price was cheaper, why are you complaining! VAGParts are a bit flat out at the moment, you're better off giving them a ring on 01793 487700 if you can. It may take you a while to get through

Is it really worth it for 2 quid?

not the point Dest! maybe its just the stingy Scot in me but if someone quotes me a price, I expect them to keep their word & not bump it up a bit when it comes to the payment!
All I wanted was a "sorry we made a mistake". If someone emails me with a question I will always reply!

Im sure there is a valid reason....
Principle or not, 2 quid aint worth worrying about surely

No-one's bumped it up.. the website prices are set so maybe it was worked out incorrectly by email or they used a different postage method/cost.

Either way why don't you just pick the phone up instead of getting in a tiz about it?

I don't want to add fuel to the fire but I odered a few bits the other day and the Pressure Regulating Valve was a couple of quid more than last week when I phoned. I just assumed the price had gone up or maybe It's coming from a different supplier. No biggie for a couple of quid.
Maybe the website just hasn't been updated and if you order online they'd still honour the cheaper price?

PS - it's officially the middle of the week and that means it's all downhill to the weekend. oh yeah........

I don't think this is the best way to solve this wee problem. VAGparts do a great job and provide us with good service, but that means they are invariably busy and rarely get a chance to visit the forum. You are best to persevere and call them directly.

Best bet is to give vagparts a call, when I was talking to martyn on saturday they are pretty flat out at the moment and have about a 4 day turnaround on emails at the moment. If you wait im sure they will get back to you on email
