Who's owned an S2 longest - and who bought one new?

Owned my typ85 Audi 90 quattro since 1997. Started off standard, then TSR conversion - 2.6l giving about 200bhp.
Next was 3B instal with minor tweaks giving 390bhp . Latest tweaks amount to about 550bhp.
Trouble with all this work, feels like car only been on road for about 3 months. Off road again now being (hopefully) properly sorted once and for all - and new turbo.
Still overall well worth the effort for the fun I have had.

Bought mine in june 2000 with 23k on the clock and its on 84k now second owner and i paid 15k for it then

To date i have spent a few more quid on it but no more than anyother i have owned In truth to probably owes me more than its worth but i love it so not too worried. Thought i might have to get out of it recently and still might but not without a fight. Luckily my girlfriend love cars too so that helps

Got mine in July 2002. ABY Coupe with 67,000 miles, had brand new Cat 1 alarm and FASH with recent cam belt and brake refurb for £9,000 (plus my 90 2.3 quattro (sob)). Its now up to 125,000 Mi. Just had cam belt etc etc and cam cover gaskets replaced. Original Yahoo Forum(s) started saving me serious money and understanding the car better.

I got my ABY in August 2003 with 52K miles on the clock for £6500 because she did not look too well cared for, but had a full main dealer history and has proved to be reasonable sound mechanically. I now have 68K on her and reckon I have spend around £4K keeping her on the road so far. I have looked to change her for something else but just can't find anything with the same performance for sensible money. I almost part-ex'd her for a Nissan Skyline GTR recently, but when it came to the handshake bit I just could not go through with it. My wife says that I will end up being buried in it, but I think its because she is jealous.

Oh I meant to say... Mine cost £4k. Was 12 yrs old, with 138k on the clock and FSH, 2 previous owners, and always maintained with Audi parts. Had her checked over by All Audi Bristol before buying, and she needed £900 of work right away (brake discs and pads all round, fixed major oil leak, and while had engine out go a new clutch, oh and titanium plugs).

Runs beautifully (tho' had some strange faultering under WOT a while back.. not since)...

My wife keeps saying "what's that noise?" when she gets in - and the engine does "chatter" a bit when idling. Just getting old and talking to itself - like the owner!

Now on 144k miles... due a service but I'm saving to combine it with an MRC chip!!!

Bought mine 11/10/2000. Its a 95 ABY coupe that had 70k on the clock now got 102k payed 16k for it which might seems a lot but car prices were high back then. probably spent 6k on mods and servicing

Bought my 3B coupe (LHD) for £1500 in April 2006, 95,000 miles...as a non runner....
new battery and fixed boost leak, all was fine.....
18 months on, with a few mods and now 135,000 miles, all is well and dandy....

Picked up my 2nd one (94) in Dec '03 for a shade over £8k.

1st ABY 2000, std + elec Recaros £12k around 55k miles (after 10 years with 2.3 10v)

2nd ABY 2003, std + nothelle, 19,000 miles

bought my FASH 154k Avant exactly a year ago for £2.8k
spent an alarming £3.5k on it since then (no mods except homefry and samco's) just bringing it up to scratch (that's all with me as free labour - not been near a garage) AND it still needs another £1.5k throwing at it.
I'm going for the standard/pristine look ....still a way off
Done about 7k miles since then - every one of which I loved...

Avant S2 ABY 1994 - Bought 5 years ago with 48 000 Km for 15 000 euros I´ve done 120 000 Km in 4 years (now 168 000 Km) and now it´s hibernating in a garaje for over a year and will be there for another year.
Coupe quattro 20v - bought 10 years ago with 75 000 Km for 10 000 euros and after spending almost the same amount it´s now in pristine condition and totals 135 000 Km, it as come out of a 4 year hibernation last December.
