Audi S3 Turbine Failure Saga

Hey people, finally got round to stripping the S3 motor down to locate where all the Debris from the broken turbine wheel got to??? Stripped head off, stripped Intercoolers out and all intake pipework, Stripped all exhaust system off and clean as a whistle??
Stripped sump off and guess what?? clean as a whistle?? Any ideas where all the bits might be?? Surely the engine hasn't Eaten it all?? its Titanium at the end of the day on the Exhaust side of the Turbine wheel!!! Im a bit stumped now, I don't want to put the engine back together with the big possibility of the bits still in there to re-enter the head and cylinders again

If its the exhaust side, wouldn't it be in the exhaust?

Does the car have Cats? Is titanium brittle enough to shatter into thousands of tiny bits and just get spat out the back?
