  • RS4 B5 Motronic Connectors

    Hi everyone.

A friend of mine had his RS4 stolen last year.

The car has been founded but with major damages on motor and drivetrain.
Insurance payed a good amount of money so he decided to go into a recostruction project.

    Problem:

The ECU has been taken from the car, but the f****s did'nt of course disconnected the plugs form the ECU but instead just as last gift chopped with cutter the wires.....
So the connectors went with the ECU.....

Audi selles the ECU and it has been ordered already at dealer, but no luck with the connectors, Audi does'nt sell them as spares but sells just the complete engine loom for a mere 1045 euros plus VAT!!!

Anyone of you knows if them connectors are somewhere sourceable?
I believe they're Bosch..... and if they're any chance I can find them on the Bosch catalogue?
Or if anyone has the loom for an affordable price?

Thanks in advance for any hint you'll provide.

    Stefano

If the motronic connector is the same for all the ecus then I've just cut one off my ABZ loom, you can have that if thats any good to you, theres still some wire tails left on there so you could splice them together.

I would try and find a damaged RS4 and ask if you can buy the engine loom, cutoff the connectors and rejoin them

              Thanks guys for your suggestions.

AFAIK the RS4 B5 Motronic has two connectors or ETKA shows two connectors......

If this harness as the same connector/housing it will be just the perfect match and I'll buy two of them, worth a try to write them an enquiry.

I think I would also look on another RS4 and see if the connectors/housings has any Bosch part number on it..... if it has it I'm sorted..... am I?

              Thanks again.

I am sure if you can find another RS4 to look at the connector will have a Bosch p/n on it. Maybe the S4 has the same loom?

looks to be the same connectors as any other vw passat or audi a4 as certainely the same style ecu as my passat has currently.

use some harness with connector from other me7 harness, or you can use s4 harnes
i think is no problem to do it for people who play with car electronics...
i can do this but i live away

                          It is normal ME7.1...
You can take it from very many cars, lots of 1.8T, 2.7TT etc.

And the ecu... you could have gotten from one of those cars also, then reflash it.
At least from almost any 2.7TT.
