  • UrS6 - oem Delta Radio and connecting an Apple iPhone ?

I know I could change the radio to an aftermarket head unit, but am quite 'fond' of the oem Delta head unit.

Is there a way to connect an apple iPhone to the Delta unit, either physically or by using some sort of blue tooth adapter ?

Something in the cassette slot is acceptable.

Failing that what is the next oem radio upgrade from a later Audi that might suit ?

And as a real fail back, failing all of the above does anyone have any links to a black coloured not too many small buttons gadgety new head unit ? If going with this option I'd have to change the centre console to the smaller Din size stye so not too keen.

    Thanks.

Have a chat with Xcarlink. Something like this may do it: http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.ph...6&cat=4&page=1

Does it have CD changer controls on the PIN out? If so you "should" be able to use a unit from GROM Audio. or "upgrade" to a Concert I and use the GROM unit to maintain the OEM look. That's the setup I have and still works good. Head unit controls iphone tracks via BT, which is nice.

It looks like it has the standard CD connector, in which case the XCarlink solution will work. (Same as I use with my RNS-D).

DEFINITELY talk to them, and anyone else whose product piggybacks on that connector.

The XCarlink solution has the clever advantage that it retains use of the CD changer as well, if you want it.

I upgraded to a concert and used a VW kit like this
                http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-iPod-iP...cAAOSw74FXOut9

Be mindful that the concert has issues with the volume control, you need to get a later Panasonic unit I think, or at least a re-worked unit.
Have a quick look through google
Will also need a power pin swap to have it working properly

I'm the same David,i like the Delta in the S6 being original and top of the range at the time. The XCarlink looks to be the best option? I hope you get this sorted and report back to us.

You said you are found of the Delta radio, and I like the stock look of mine in my UrS4. I was reading a thread on the Project Pad and found a radio that looks like it came with the car. I'm not as familair with the interior on the S6 if it changed much depending on your year, my car is a 94'.
I believe I added the link correctly.
