  • A question about the Motronic ECU with a larger turbo

Whilst I save up some funds to go towards getting my URS6 re-mapped is the standard ECU and injectors capable of safely running standard boost in the interim period?

Maybe I could fit a standard wastegate spring and disconnect the N75?

I ran my 2.5 with a 3071 on a stock ecu and stock injectors until the engine was run in, it coped fine, just avoid boost be unplugging the N75 as you said.

Out of interest what is the standard boost pressure? I believe my car has a 1.9bar spring currently fitted

It will be more or less fine with a 1.9 bar spring. Just make sure N75 is unplugged.

Stock SW can run the 0.8-ish boost that the 1.9 bar spring will provide. I wouldn't bother.

If anything does go wrong will the standard SW hit fuel cut?

Yes, boost cut and fuel cut. Don't worry about it, you can't damage anything.
