S6 fuel leak from braided line from filter

    Yes with a pipe cutter, might it be easier just to cut it in the engine bay, get a duplicate made of that part and use compression fittings (see fuel pipe replacement thread) to re-join it?

    Just a thought.

          I have done this job on saturday. Sorry , but i can not upload some pictures.

          More or less is a 5 minutes job and 5 euros for the 8mm gates fuel hose and two clamps.

            Cut the metal pipe just after the end of the braided line. Then had a new braided pipe made up slightly longer and attached with compression fittings.

            All good now
            Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
            How can a part be recalled in the USA but not everywhere else? Looks to be the same fault on all these cars.
